ARE YOU A KINSHIP-CAREGIVER?
Have you altered your life to care for a relative's child, such as a niece, nephew or grandchild?
Are you caring for the child of a family friend, or a foster child?
Then, you need to learn how to care for yourself as well as you care for your "adoptive" child
If you have ever travelled by plane, you must remember what the flight attendant always instructs us: "Put on your own oxygen mask first."
You can't care for anyone if you don't have the energy --- or the oxygen --- to care for them.
Take time each day to do something for yourself. Take a walk alone; have your hair done.
By making yourself first you are allowing the universe to assist you with the energy and the strength to care for your grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family friend or foster child.
